Andrei’s work is centered on collage, combining image cutting, layering, and negative space to create new visual narratives from found photographs, archives, and printed materials. While his artistic practice often draws on memory and nostalgia, his editorial work takes a more figurative approach, using photographic imagery to engage with current events and contemporary issues.
As an illustrator, he has worked with The New York Times, The Economist, Harvard Business Review, The Wall Street Journal, The Guardian, The Atlantic, Politico, Foreign Policy, Elle, Les Echos, Society and Le Nouvel Observateur. His work has been exhibited internationally and published in The Age of Collage Vol. 3 (Gestalten).
